Courses and Talks, Visits and Walks
We offer an extensive programme of events: guided walks, visits to places with historical value, talks and workshops delivered by family history experts, and special events aimed at updating and enhancing your skills and knowledge. All our events are open to anyone interested in family history, you do not need to be a member of our society to attend our events.

To book an event: Select the Book Now button next to the event description and move through the purchase process. For us to hold a place for you, all events must be booked and paid for in advance. If you are attending a free event, we still need you to book your place.
SoG Members, remember to log in first! As a Member, you receive 20% discount on listed prices (excluding the 2018 Conference) but you need to log in to the website before you make your booking. It’s easy to become a Member. To find out how, just visit our Membership page. However, non-members are welcome to attend events at the full price. Note the 20% discount does not apply to conferences.
Finding us: Our talks and courses take place at our Library in London. Our lecture room is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. There is a hearing loop in the room.
