An introduction to some of Kent's unrivalled genealogical sources for genealogical research. After 40 years of professional work in the county and the compilation of several books and catalogues on its records, David Wright wrote Tracing Your Kent Ancestors in 2016. It was based fairly and squarely on the development of his own pedigree and the construction of many others over several decades. It offers many insights into problem-solving and out-of-the-way sources, not forgetting Latin and palaeography. David’s talk covers a broad range of subjects to encourage those with Kentish ancestry to look a little further.
