Spend a whole week on your family history with the Society of Genealogists. The SoG is hosting a five day intensive genealogy programme in its Library in London.

Family history research is constantly changing. It’s come a long way since the days when we kept loads of paper, stuffed into cabinets and binders. The most obvious changes relate to the technological advances in computers, our use of hand-held devices and new or updated software. Record-keeping is easier and faster than ever before, allowing us to spend less time organising our records and more time doing research.

Leading experts will discuss the latest developments in the genealogy community and help you to learn more about: the changes on major family history websites; data storage; keeping email and data secure; and updates to genealogy software. How to use the Society's extensive genealogical library is also included and there is time each day to concentrate on your own research.

A booking form which includes a full programme (2 pages) can be viewed here or contact the Events Department. This event can also be booked online by selecting the button above.
