This final series of courses will stretch students of all abilities and, above all, will be an entertaining and enjoyable experience along with helping you to become a knowledgeable family historian. Classes include topics: chancery and other equity courts, manorial records, immigration to England, the application of genetics and DNA testing for family history, research before parish registers, and more. Classes will include a practical element with assignments and is suitable for students wishing to take the IHGS examinations. Some of the classes can be booked individually, contact the events department for further information. Course concludes 6 Nov.
With tutors Else Churchill, Geoff Swinfield, Paul Blake & Ian Waller, Thursday evenings for 10 weeks. Please note some classes can also be booked individually.
