This event has now been cancelled and we hope to reschedule at a later date
Take a walk up and down Stamford Hill, tracing its place in Hackney’s history and the different types of people who have lived and passed through there. Find out how long the area has been associated with the Jewish community, locate Hackney's Gibbet Hill and hear about lost treasures. Then return through north Stoke Newington to visit a couple of little-known Victorian gems: tranquil Allens Gardens and St. Andrew’s, where we will pause (hopefully with refreshments provided) while we admire the church’s impressive murals.
Meeting point: Abney Park Cemetery Gates, Stoke Newington High Street, N16 0LH
17/07/2020 11:00 - 13:00 (note this walk and visit has been advertised in our leaflet as ending at 1pm, it instead ends at 2pm).
