What is a will? Who made them? Why did they make them? What happened after death? What can I find in a will? What other probate documents are available? Where can I find them? How can I use them to research family and local history? These are some of the questions that will be discussed in this workshop. The lecturer is author of The Wills of our Ancestors: a guide for family & local historians (Pen & Sword, 2012), amongst many other titles.

A half-day course with Stuart Raymond, author of the book 'Wills of our Ancestors'. Copies available through the Society of Genealogists Bookshop
