The first of three practical creative writing workshops which enable people to bring the story of
their ancestors to life. These workshops guide participants through different phases of writing and
editing. The students will engage in writing and producing their family history. At the end of workshops the students will be working towards having a body of work ready for publication/display. Part 1 of the course will help those starting out writing their family history. Gill will cover subjects such as choosing a writing style, format and what to include, introduction to adding social, geographical and local history context, expanding your family history biography
There will be an analysis and review of progress . Please be prepared to bring a small family history related object with you on the first course.
