Directories for Genealogists 1677-1977 - A Live one-hour online talk on 23 September

Directories for Genealogists 1677-1977 - Online and Archive Sources at SoG and Elsewhere

Published as lists of merchants and tradesmen from the 17th century, trade and other directories become increasingly useful for genealogists and local and house historians throughout the 18th and 19th century and become more comprehensive into the 20th century. As more are published online and become searchable by name these name rich lists can add colour  to your family history and provide evidence of where your ancestors lived and what they did in their lives.

With staff genealogist, Else Churchill, there will be a question and qnswer session after the talk.

Date and Time:  23 Sep 14:00-15:00 (UK), cost £10.00/£5.00 SoG members. Places must be pre-booked, through our website
