East Kent marriage index 1754-1812 now available on SoG Data Online
If your ancestors came from Kent, a new set of records on the Society of Genealogists website (SoG Data Online) may be of interest. The East Kent marriage index covers most of the parishes in the Diocese of Canterbury for the period 1754-1812.
Originally compiled by Michael Gandy, the cards have now been put into a database by volunteer Les Muriel and checked by Paul Inett. The period 1813-1837 is currently being checked and will appear on SoG Data Online in due course.
Non-members can do a simple search to see if their ancestor appears in the East Kent marriage database (by entering their name into the purple box in the top right of the page), but only members can view the full entry.
