My Ancestor was a Brushmaker - A half-day course on 22 June

This talk will cover the practices of the Brushmakers, the first English trade union, methods of manufacture, the tramp system and England's first trade-based (Brushmakers) family history society.

The lecturer, Ken Doughty is an enthusiastic amateur genealogist. In the early 1990's he rediscovered the fascinating history of the Brushmaker's Society and established the first trade-based family history society
