Nottinghamshire parish registers available on SoG Data Online

Did your ancestors come from Nottinghamshire? If so there may be a record of their christenings, marriages and burials in the Society of Genealogists online records (SoG Data Online). Six new parish registers have recently been added (Edingley, Edwalton, Egmanton, Elkesley, Elston and Elston chapel), bringing the total number of Nottinghamshire people included in the parish register database to over 225,000 (as well as the 50,000 already available on Boyd's marriage index).

The records have been transcribed by SoG member John Mellors from microfiche of the original registers held in our collection. The Society of Genealogists holds many other records for Nottinghamshire in its unique library including will indexes, marriage licences, monumental inscriptions, directories, poll books and censuses.

Members and non-members can carry out a search of SoG data online for free but only members can view the full records.
