Discounted Book of the Month - My Ancestors were Gypsies & Related Half-day Course on 9 March

20% Discount on March’s Book of the Month - My Ancestors Were Gypsies

There is a long standing belief in family history circles that if you discover you have gypsy ancestry you may as well abandon your search at once. This book by Sharon Sillers Floate, who has been specialising in the subject since 1992, suggests otherwise. She provides readers with an invaluable, easy-to-read guide to tracing their gypsy/traveller ancestors, as well as detailing the fascinating social history of this group in Britain.

This new edition has been fully updated to reflect the many changes which have taken place in gypsy records since the book's original publication in 1999, particularly regarding the online availability of records.

The usual cost of My Ancestors were Gypsies is £8.99 and is currently available to SoG members at the discounted price of £7.28 (£8.09 to non-members). A £2.00 postal charge applies. This book plus the full range of titles published by the Society is available from our bookshop through our website or by telephone: 020 7251 8799. Offer valid through 30 March.
