An Introduction to the Geographical Resources at the Society includes an explanation of place names used in the catalogue and the Abbreviations list will help you to interpret the sources which you have found in SOGCAT.

The staff of the Society can make limited searches in some of these sources for a fee (reduced rate for Members of the Society).
