Library rules
As a joint archive and library many of our holdings are valuable and need safeguarding. Therefore there are certain rules that need to be observed whilst in the library, a summary of which is as follows:
- Coats, bags, briefcases, pens, biros, pagers, mobile phones and sharp implements such as knives, scissors or scalpels are not allowed in the library and should be left in the locker room near the reception area.
- Computers, digital cameras and USB storage devices may be used by arrangement with the library staff, providing copyright guidelines are adhered to. See Copying facilities for further details.
- Smoking is forbidden throughout the building.
- Members wishing to bring children under 12 years old into the Library must ask the Librarian for permission to do so.
