Obtaining your personal extract of the index

For a number of years the Society of Genealogists has provided a service whereby personal extracts of the Vicar-General marriage licence surname index were provided by e-mail.

This service has now been discontinued because a better and more flexible service is now available through British Origins. As well as surname extracts available immediately over the internet 24 hours a day the English Origins facility also enables copies of specific allegations to be ordered for subsequent delivery by conventional mail.
