Gift Aid

The Gift Aid scheme allow UK taxpayers to increase the value of their donation at no cost to them. By ticking the Gift Aid box on your donation form we can reclaim the basic rate tax on your donation increasing its value by 25%.

To be eligible for Gift Aid you must:

  • Be a UK tax payer.
  • Pay an amount of income tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs that you donate to will claim in tax.

If you wish to reclaim tax paid at the higher or additional rate you must include all Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.

If you are able please make your donation eligible for Gift Aid. By doing so your donation will go even further, funding even more projects at the Society.

For more information on Gift Aid see the HMRC website.

The Society is a registered charity but is not government funded meaning we rely on membership fees, donations, legacies and grants.
