CURRENT GOVERNANCE DOCUMENTS:
Board of Trustees and Committees. The SoG is managed under terms set down in the Standing Orders by the Board of Trustees, which may devolve its powers to Committees and Staff. Details of the membership of the Board of Trustees and other Committees is available in Adobe Acrobat format (see below).
Nominations for the Board of Trustees. If you would like to be considered for a position on the Board of Trustees please click here for further details. At the moment the Society is particularly interested in people with current and relevant experience in Business Development, Marketing or Premises Project Management.
Strategic Review. During 2008 and 2009 the Society undertook a Strategic Review. Under the invigilation of an independent consultant key surveys were undertaken and an 'away day' held. Participants included Trustees, staff, key stakeholders, Fellows, Members and Non-Members to obtain a cross section of opinion. The resulting Strategy document has been produced and incorporated into the direction and running of the Society. Monitoring of the 'live' document is carried out via a Business Plan which is reviewed by the Trustees along with comprehensive monthly management accounts (reporting against the annually prepared budget), all of which are reported to the Board of Trustees. In 2013 and 2014 a review was undertaken of the Strategic Plan and this has now been written into an updated version. You may download a copy of the current Strategic Plan in pdf format (see below).
