The Society of Genealogists (“the Society”) is an educational charity founded in 1911 and is custodian of an extensive and exciting collection of diverse historical and modern, physical and digital records. The Society’s staff and volunteers include experienced and knowledgeable genealogy professionals, with remarkable knowledge and experience of genealogy.
One of the core activities of The Society of Genealogists is a remarkable programme of events, talks and courses that provides both Society members and the general public with an unrivalled opportunity to develop their genealogical skills and understanding in topics ranging from reading early English to the use of DNA in research. Most of these take place online, but the Society does hold a number of in-person events at its Resource Hub in central London.
This programme is always developing, and this post will play a key role in both the delivery and development of it.
